6 WEEKS TO 18 MONTHS

(6 weeks of Birth - 18 months)

From birth, infants are marvelous learners. They immediately investigate sights, sounds, and flavors of the world. Armenta's Early Childhood Development's teachers have been trained to respond quickly and appropriately to your baby's needs, and to provide stimulative activities to enchance their development. Each activity is designed to assist your child in achieving developmental milestones, while having fun at the same time. Armenta's Early Childhood Development knows the importance of nurturing when it comes to babies. Providing plenty of hugs, love, personal attention and a safe haven is something we include throughout our Infant - Toddler Program. Your baby will enjoy singing, giggling, reading, cuddling, and of course Tummy Time, by helping them develop their large motor skills such as sitting up, crawling, and walking in our safe and secure facility. We provide our infants and toddlers with a welcoming enviornment with opprotunities to actively enjoy and explore sights, sounds textures, and sensations. Our experienced staff work on hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills in a stimulated and calm enviornment with some TLC (Tender Love and Care). We provide booties to be worn in infant and toddler rooms. All toys are sanitized twice daily. The child care provider will respond promptly to infant needs by using their soft calm voice to interact, such as singing Nursery Rhymes, talking to the child and incoorperating Sign Language to sooth the child. We strive in helping each child trust their enviornment and form bonds with their caregivers all while ensuring health and safety needs are met.

We feel that parent communication is essential to providing quality child care. Each morning our staff will ask that you inform us of any special needs for the day and what time your child's last meal was.

At pick up time, you will receive a complete report of your child's day including daily activities, eating, sleeping, and diaper changes/ restroom breaks. We also offer an open door policy with chairs and privacy for nursing mothers.

Parents of infants must provide formula and breastmilk. Bottles must be CLEANED and prepared in advance of your child's' arrival at school. The nutrition food program will provide HEB BRAND FORMULA for infants who qualify for the WIC program in accordance with the Income Eligibility Guidelines. Solid food must be in the original unopened container. Food and formula will be heated in a crock pot to insure safe temperature. Baby cereal may be brought in the box and we will mix it according to the directions.

Infants sleep in separate cribs, with clean sheets used only by them. Parents are responsible for supplying pack and play crib, diapers, a full change of clothing, including socks, appropriate for the weather, and any other supplies your child may need. You may bring a whole package of diapers to be stored in the changing table. We will let you know when your supplies run low. All blankets and bedding will be sent home to be washed every Friday and must be returned on Monday for continued use. All items need to be labeled with your child's name or initials.
